GO Switch is the only magnetic proximity switch with hybrid technology combining the benefits of mechanical limit switches with those of magnetic, reed and inductive switches. This new combined technology eliminates inaccuracy, interferences, wear and early failures resulting in enhanced reliability and durability under tough conditions and environments.
|
It can truly be said that the GO Switch magnetic proximity switches are unique in their operating principles because:
- They do not rely on external levers and internal mechanisms with the effect of the mechanical spring for the switching of the contact , as in the mechanical limit switch, greatly increasing the life of reliable mechanical / electrical switch.
- Does not use the reed contact as is the case with conventional magnetic proximity switches, but incorporating the magnets and a mechanical contact, improves the ability to switch the power and reliability in shock and vibration.
- They do not need an external actuation magnet unlike magnetic reed proximity switches (the magnet is incorporated within the GO Switch). All they need is a ferrous target, thus facilitating installation.
- They do not use internal electronic circuits as is the case for inductive proximity switches. Thus they eliminate the need for a special external board for power supply, and the related problems of signal interference, potential voltage drops and leakage current.

“NO LIMITS” for GO Switches Applications
|
Built to operate up to 100 million mechanical cycles and more than 1.5 million electrical cycles at maximum load, the GO Switch sensor is virtually indestructible even in the following applications::
|
- EXTREME TEMPERATURES
GO Switches are designed to operate at ambient temperatures from -40° C to + 204° C without reduced accuracy or reliability.
|
|
-
EXTREME PRESSURE
For high pressure pneumatic or underwater applications (such as open sea drilling): GO Switches are built to withstand pressures up to 10,000 PSI and depths of 21,227 feet (approx. 6450 meters).
|
- EXTREME VIBRATIONS
When vibrations reduce the reliability of other sensors, GO Switch continue to operate year after year with the best efficiency.
|
-
NUCLEAR POWER PLANT APPLICATIONS
GO Switch Models P7 and N7 were approved for use in Canadian nuclear power plants after the most stringent testing by the AECL (Atomic Energy of Canada Limited).
GO Switch IS ESPECIALLY RECOMMENDED FOR APPLICATIONS WHERE IT IS IMPORTANT TO RECEIVE RELIABLE VALVE ON/ OFF INDICATION.
Compared to other sensors, using GO Switches greatly reduces maintenance and plant down time by providing reliable valve ON/OFF indication resulting in a substantially lower number of failures and false readings. This provides enhanced reliability and reduction in production and maintenance cost.
