HOUSING FEATURES Series CF |
During the design of the housing, our primary goal was to create a product capable of satisfying the most severe applications for petrochemical, chemical, refinery, oil & gas, power generation and water treatment. Therefore, particular care has been given to the choice of the material as well as to special the treatments to the material it self to obtain the highest level of protection against aggressive ambience typically present in the above applications. All housings series CF are manufactured with aluminium alloy with a very low copper content ( <= 0.1%) which, combined with the special chromate conversion coatings treatment and polyester painting process, guarantees an excellent protection against corrosive and aggressive agents typically present in the industrial environments. For applications in particularly severe environments, such as very low temperature and/or very high corrosion, we have a solution of 316L SST made housings with a special treatment of electropolishing.
OPERATIONS AND ADJUSTMENTS |
We have improved the design of the housing by minimizing the maintenance lead times as well as the set up and fine tuning timing; this was also obtained with the “direct screw in” covers which do not require fixing screws, and without the necessity of removal of the three-dimensional (3D) visual position indicator. The set-up of the proximity sensor for open/closed position of the valves, thanks to the new internal actuation device, is completed quickly and very precisely, by an easy manual pressing on the actuation vanes inserted into the reference multi-marks sector with selectable position of 2° Furthermore, the new internal actuation device, con be provided with a third sensor and vane to control the intermediate position of the valve (partial stroke), with different test range. The set-up of the mechanical lever micro switches is performed with the regulation of traditional camme devices.
EXPLOSION-PROOF CERTIFICATION AND PROTECTION LEVEL |
The housings series CF are available in the ATEX version (directive 94/9/CE) with the equipment. certification CE, Ex II 2 GD as they have an explosion-proof method of protection Exd/Exia IIC T6,T5,T4 Ex tD A21 IP66 T85/T100 /T135°C for ambient operating temperature from - 60°C to a maximum of + 100°C. The above-mentioned housings can also be used in plants classified as: GROUP II (surface plants) zone 1 / zone 21 (with redundancy ), zone 2 / zone 22. The level of protection IP 66/67 makes the housing totally protected against dust and water jets similar to waves. Also available with IECEx and GOST R Ex certified.
The housings series CF model CFIA,CFXA,CFIB and CFXB are equipped with a three-dimensional visual indicator made of Makrolon® polycarbonate, anti-shock and UV rays resistant. The following configurations are available:
- Red / Green with Open / Closed writing for 90° rotations of the valve/actuator (standard).
- Yellow / Black with Open / Closed writing for 90° rotations of the valve/actuator.
- Yellow with graduated reference marks and Closed writing. Open writing applicable from 25° to 135° of the rotation of the valve/actuator.
As for special applications are available in the following configurations:
- Metal Visual indicator.

- Visual indicator with rigid or flexible extended drive (adjustable with different positions and lenghts) suitable for FIREPROOF covers of actuators/valves
STANDARD SENSORS FOR CF Series HOUSING |
   
MAGNETIC hybrid proximity sensor, passive type (not powered) with mechanical contact for low and high switching power (no reed contact inside). Sensitive to ferrous or magnetic actuators. SPDT and DPDT dry or snap action contact.
The Magnetic hybrid GO switch sensor being, suitable for every application, make particularly reliable, precise and long lasting in any application, virtually eliminating of maintenance needs.
- MICRO SWITCHES with lever
  
In the economic version mechanical limit switches are available for high levels of current/tension and for interfacing with PLC (gold plated mechanical contacts SPDT ). Other options are available in sealed version, hermetic and with mechanical contacts DPDT.
- INDUCTIVES SENSOR

A wide variety of models with two or three wires, NPN, PNP, NAMUR is available also on request

MAGNETIC proximity sensor not powered with reed contact for low and medium switching power; sensitive to magnetic actuators only. SPDT contact.
The quality/price/reliability features of these sensors are in between the Go Switch and the above described Mechanical lever micro switches.
