VALVE POSITION CONTROL SYSTEMS
SQUARE Version HF Serie
|
|
SQUARE is the new housing proposed by CE srl for valve position indication that can be used in safe and hazardous areas (ATEX Exia). |
SQUARE has been created to satisfy the growing need for an economic, robust, and high quality housing with a wide range of limit switches that can be used internally. |
|
INNOVATIVE DESIGN
Calibration, replacement and sensor wiring quickly and without obstacles. |
Housing base free of side walls, with the following benefits:
- Terminal block free of obstacles upon insertion and attachment of cables.
- Regulation and rotation of cams without obstacles.
- Rapid installation and replacement of sensors.
Internal stainless steel support brackets for switches and clamps.
|
|
|
Limited external dimensions with ample internal capacity:
- Space for the housing of entry cables.
- Can contain UP TO 4 mechanical, magnetic, and inductive LIMIT SWITCHES.
Just one base housing for many solutions! |
High visibility and rapid base – cover coupling:
- 3D dome for valve position indication that is visible from a distance.
Rapid base – cover coupling thanks to the single housing shaft with engagement assisted by the dome. The single shaft also eliminates play resulting from the coupling, guaranteeing greater precision in the implementation of the sensors. |
|
|
- lateral walls that impede calibration, sensor replacement, and electrical connections.
- no internal zone for the housing of cables.
- a valve position indication dome that is not visible from a distance and is difficult to couple to the housing shaft.
- a limited number and type of sensors that can be used, with a subsequent increase in the housing models that must be used. |
HOUSING MATERIALS AND TREATMENTS
|
- Aluminum alloy housing (copper <=0.1%): Yellow ALODINE1200 chromate coloring – Treatment complies with the
MIL-C5541 military standards.
(this treatment generates a light yellow amorphous film, creating an excellent protection on unpainted aluminum alloy objects with a “self-healing” effect in case the film is superficially damaged or scratched, in addition to guaranteeing an optimal base for paint. Resistance to corrosion in salt spray tests is far superior to transparent chromate treatments or anodizing).
- Hot electrostatic painting (high anchorage – only for aluminum housings): polyester (std. color RAL 5015)
- 316L stainless steel housing: solubilization, sandblasting, electropolishing and passivation.
(these treatments, which serve to remove the superficial oxides present on the pieces in the presswork and machining phase, regenerate and improve the original rust-resistant characteristics of the object, thus adding years to its life in corrosive environments without the need for protective coatings. Excellent results in salt spray tests).
1 to 4 limit switches of the following types can be used within the housing, thanks to the availability of two lids of different heights:

|
INDUCTIVE (P&F)
A wide range of NPN, PNP and Namur inductive proximity limit switches with two or three wires; up to twenty models of various sizes and shapes (cylindrical or rectangular) – these require an external power adapter.
MECHANICAL (OMRON, HONEYWELL, PANASONIC)
A wide range of mechanical limit switches with SPDT or DPDT contacts that are gold plated or made of silver alloy. Available in sealed, hermetically sealed, low, and high switching power versions.
MAGNETIC
Non-powered magnetic proximity sensor with SPDT type reed contact for low and medium switching powers. Wide range of ambient operating temperatures (-60°C/+120°C). Sensitive only to magnetic feedback.
MAGNETIC
Non-powered hybrid magnetic proximity sensor with mechanical contact (without reed contact). SPDT contact of dry type and snap action for low and high switching powers. Sensitive to ferrous and magnetic feedback.
